Ezra Musoke, Managing Director

Mr. Ezra Musoke, Managing Director for SEAF KASI Agriventures in Tanzania, is a Ugandan national with an outstanding track record of investing in SMEs in East Africa. Prior to joining SEAF, Mr. Musoke invested in SMEs in East Africa for GroFin, InReturn Capital and Grassroots Business Fund. In Uganda, Mr. Musoke was involved in the GroFin operations from its early start and in was selected to lead the launch of the Tanzania office and later moved on to serve as a managing partner with InReturn Capital.

Mr. Musoke has closed 25 deals in Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania and has exited deals successfully over course of the past 5 years. Further, as a member of the GroFin and InReturn Capital finance committees he was involved in 13 deals in Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, Kenya and Uganda.

Mr. Musoke holds a BA from Makerere University, two post-graduate diplomas in Financial Management and Banking and Masters in Management Studies from the Uganda Management Institute.


Helina Teklehaimanot, Investment Officer & Deputy Program Manager

Helina Teklehaimanot is an investment officer for KASI Agriventures at the Small Enterprise Assistance Funds (SEAF). Helina is responsible for sourcing, screening and executing new agribusiness investment opportunities in Tanzania. Helina also works with the global director for SEAF’s Center for Entrepreneurship and Executive Development (CEED) to manage the technical assistance facility for SEAF’s investments in Tanzania. Prior to joining the Tanzania team, Helina was a project lead in SEAF’s Washington DC office where she managed SME entrepreneurship support programs in Africa. Helina has prior professional experience in Lagos, Nigeria and Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Ms. Teklehaimanot has a B.A. in political science from Boston College and an MBA from the George Washington University School of Business.

Ibrahim Kikoko, Office Manager

Ibrahim Kikoko, a versatile and tenacious human resources and administration professional with a Master’s of Science in Human Resource Management- MSc. HRM, 2018. Having acquired almost nine (9) years of International donor hands- on experience from working as an Administration Specialist at Development Alternatives Inc., Ltd (USAID Tanzania, IMARISHA Project) he currently serves as an Office Manager at KASI Agriventures, Food for Progress Tanzania program managed by Small Enterprises Assistance Fund (SEAF). In this capacity he performs a wide range of activities not limited to office start- up, administration and registration, human resources management and development, logistical coordination, procurement and vendor management.

Matata Tungaraza, Accountant

Matata Tungaraza is SEAF-KASI Agriventures' Head Accountant. He holds a Masters of Science in Accounting and finance, and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). He has more than twenty years of experience in financial management, budget development and monitoring, treasury and cash management, financial reporting, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), grant and sub grants management and auditing. Previous work with developmental agencies includes managing donor funds from USAIDA, EU, USDA, and NORAD. Prior to SEAF KASI, Mr. Tungaraza worked with energy industry (specifically Oil companies) for 1 year as  a Chief Accountant responsible for overseeing the company’s accounting and   finance issues including company final accounts and internal control. For sixteen years he has worked with International NGO, CARE International in Tanzania holding various positions like, Head Office Accountant, Budget Manager and finally as Senior Accountant. 

Renalda Augustine, Local M&E Specialist

Renalda Augustine is SEAF-KASI Agriventures' Local Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Specialist. Renalda has more than fifteen years of experience in project management, design, monitoring, and reporting, with all of the work focused on regions throughout Tanzania. Her previous work was with World Vision Tanzania, serving as Senior Program Manager in Arusha. She focused on the design of projects to align with donor guidelines and organizational strategy, and in the monitoring and evaluation of projects. Renalda holds an MBA from ESAMI, and a B.Sc. in Agriculture from the Sokoine University of Agriculture.
